We carry out three different types of reviews: administrative boundary reviews, structural reviews and electoral reviews. You can also find information about open consultations, community governance (parish) reviews and other review bodies.
The Boundary Committee review programme
We are inviting local authorities in England to advise us on any proposals they may have for future electoral or administrative boundary reviews.
Following changes to the law introduced by the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, we are planning to carry out a programme of reviews over the medium term, covering 2009 to 2011. In doing so, we are asking local authorities to identify and advise us of any reviews they may be requesting over the next few years.
Further information can be found on our invitation letter (PDF). Together with the Electoral Commission, we will consider all proposals before finalising the work schedule for the coming years.
